Three men accused of a spate of high value burglaries across the North West are set to stand trial later this year.
Adam Hastings, 30, originally from Netherton; Shaun Rimmer, 28, also from Netherton, and Callum Martin, 32, from Bootle, are each charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries between January and April 2021. Merseyside Police launched an investigation called Operation Coliseum in connection with 10 Merseyside burglaries, 17 in Lancashire, seven in Cheshire and one in both North Wales and Norfolk.
The men are also each charged with possessing firearms on several dates on the indictment, including a Beretta 12 gauge over and under shotgun, a Baikal single shot shotgun, and a Remington self-loading .22 rifle. Hastings and Rimmer also face charges of theft of a black Mercedes AMG 4 series car on February 6, 2021, in Chester Road, Northwich.

The men were today due to appear for a pre-trial hearing at Liverpool Crown Court, via video-link from prison, but only Hastings was produced over the link from HMP Altcourse. The court heard an administrative error meant links were not set up for Rimmer or Martin, who are in separate jails.
Hastings, however, pleaded not guilty to all charges and a trial date was set for October 31, with an estimated duration of seven to 10 days. All three men were remanded in custody.
