Barcelona star Memphis Depay has ruled out a move to both Arsenal and Tottenham this summer despite facing an uncertain future at the Camp Nou.
Barca boss Xavi Hernandez admires Depay's ability but does not see him as part of his attack next season with the expected arrival of Raphinha from Leeds, along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres ahead of the Dutch forward in the pecking order. The Spanish giants' financial situation leaves them in a difficult position and looking to sell a number of senior players in order to raise funds for new signings.
Tottenham have already completed the signing of Clement Lenglet from Barca on-loan for the 2022/23 season, with the French defender becoming Spurs' fifth summer addition. Arsenal and Spurs look set to miss out on Raphinha with both north London clubs still in the market for another attacker, despite the Gunners signing Gabriel Jesus and the Lilywhites bringing in Richarlison.

According to Spanish news outlet SPORT, Barcelona have received enquiries from across Europe regarding the availability of Depay as the club look to move on the 28-year-old ahead of next season. The Dutch attacker wants to play Champions League which rules Arsenal out from pursuing a deal for the Barca star.
football.london understands that Spurs want to sign two or three new players before the transfer deadline later this summer. However, Depay is not seduced by this possibility of signing for Spurs either, despite the fact that he would play the Champions League in a project that wants to go for important titles.
Reports in Spain suggest the 28-year-old would be available for a fee in the region of £18million as Barcelona look to ease their financial issues, especially with the club pursuing a deal for Raphinha and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski. With Depay's contract entering the final year, the Netherlands international is facing a dilemma this summer; stay at Barca and risk being a bench warmer or leave the club in search of regular first team football?
Arsenal and Spurs look set to turn their attentions to alternative targets after Depay snubbed a move to north London, with Lyon's Lucas Paqueta rumoured to be on Mikel Arteta's shortlist. football.london understands Spurs are still in talks to sign Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence as the club target a sixth summer signing.
