Memphis Depay links emerge but Everton set to 'miss out' on 14-goal Ligue 1 ace

As Frank Lampard finishes the first week of pre-season training with his Everton squad at Finch Farm, without star striker Richarlison, the Blues continue to be linked with a whole host of different names following their latest £60m windfall.

Here is a summary of the latest transfer rumours surrounding the Blues.

Who?

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

What?

The Blues have been linked with a move for Barcelona and Holland forward, Memphis Depay, as they look to fill the Richarlison-sized hole that has been left in their forward department following his switch to North London earlier this month.

The La Liga giants are reportedly closing in a deal for Premier League and Leeds United ace Raphinha and therefore would be willing to let Depay, 28, depart the Camp Nou this summer, just one year after he joined the club from French outfit Lyon.

According to the report, the Toffees' interest in the 80-cap Dutch international stems as far back as April as Lampard looked to make some additions to his squad. Depay scored 12 goals in 27 La Liga games last term.

Who?

Harry Winks.

What?

Sports Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is very keen to sign for Everton and Lampard as he looks to kick-start his career after falling out of favour under Antonio Conte.

The 26-year-old has been continuously linked with a switch to Goodison Park and Brown believes it's a move he would relish:

“Winks is very keen to come and would have agreed to sign for Everton in a previous window," he told GIVEMESPORT. “He seems to like the project there and would fit possibly quite well into Lampard’s system.

“But the two clubs are a way apart because for Everton, ideally in the same way they did with Dele Alli, spreading the cost into another financial year would be ideal for them, but Spurs want the money now. So, it’s whoever blinks first really on this one.”

The midfielder is a graduate of Tottenham's academy and has spent his entire senior career at the club.

Who?

Mohamed Bayo.

What?

Lille are close to sealing a move for reported Everton target, and Clermont forward, Mohamed Bayo.

Bayo caught the eye of plenty of European clubs last summer as he fired 14 goals for the Ligue 1 outfit as they finished just outside of the relegation zone.

But reports from France state that the forward could seal his move across France as early as Monday with both Tottenham and Everton linked with a move for the 24-year-old.

The two Ligue 1 clubs are said to have agreed on a fee in the region of £10m.
