1. Crocodiles
Steve always had incredible admiration for crocodiles.
The adventurer was known for getting up close to the deadly creatures.
Fans will remember Steve wrestling some of the biggest crocs in the world, inspiring many youngsters to be crocodile wrestlers when they grew up.
2. Snakes
Several episodes of Steve's show had viewers on the edge of their seats as he walked through the dense forest floor on the hunt for some of the most venomous snakes on the planet.
When he eventually found one, Steve never shied away. Instead, he picked them up, risking his life, to show viewers the size of their fangs.
3. Komodo Dragon
One episode saw Steve getting incredibly close to the world's largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon.
Speaking to the camera right beside the creature, Steve taught his viewers how magnificent it was.
4. The Black Mamba
Travelling all the way to Sub-Saharan Africa, Steve was hell-bent on catching a glimpse of the extremely venomous Black Mamba snake.
He then caught one to show viewers making him one of the few people in the worst to handle the world's second-longest venomous snake.
