A Discovery Channel reality TV star has died aged 35 under "mysterious circumstances", it has been reported.
Melanie Rauscher, who appeared in two seasons of popular show Naked and Afraid, was found dead while dog sitting in Arizona, TMZ has reported.
Prescott Police Department spokesman Corey Kasun told the publication that the homeowners had been away and discovered her body on July 17.
She was said to have been found dead on the bed in the guest room.
Police added to TMZ that there were no obvious signs of foul play. The dog is believed to be OK.
Melanie was a contestant on Discovery Channel survival series Naked and Afraid back in 2017 and also appeared on its spin-off show XL in 2018.
Fans took to Twitter to share their condolences over the death, with one tweeting: "Omg so so sad! Rest In Peace and prayers to her family."
While another commented: "That's terrible. prayers to her family."
A third wrote: "RIP."
Her co-star Jeremy McCaa also paid tribute, saying that he is "feeling broken" over her death and hailing her as a "strong woman" and "amazing person".
Paying tribute earlier this week, he wrote: "She came into my life in a way I can’t explain. We had such a chemistry on the show and it blossomed into a friendship that goes beyond words could describe.
"We had so many moments when we would just be there for each other. She was my swamp wife, a best friend, a strong woman, an amazing person and I’ll always cherish our moments together.
"Her laughter was one of a kind. Her friendship was amazing.
"You’re gone to soon and taken from us to early. You’ll always be my Mel. I love you and I’ll see you again one day. The world lost an amazing person."
