First lady Melania Trump is set to make her first public appearance since her husband's return to office, where she will voice her support for the 'TAKE IT DOWN' Act. This legislation aims to protect Americans from deepfake and revenge pornography by criminalizing the publication of non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated deepfake porn.
Targets of AI-generated non-consensual pornographic images have included prominent women like Taylor Swift and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as high school girls. The bill, introduced by Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, has garnered bipartisan support and passed the Senate during the last session of Congress.
During her husband's first term, Melania Trump launched the 'Be Best' platform, focusing on online safety. She expressed interest in reinvigorating these efforts before the November election, emphasizing the need to help and educate children.

While Melania Trump has spent limited time in Washington during her husband's second term, she has indicated that she will be present for major events and maintain her own platform and priorities as first lady.
Despite dividing her time between New York, where her son Barron is attending college, and Florida, Melania Trump has reiterated her commitment to her roles as a mother, first lady, and wife. She emphasized that her first priority is to serve the country.
President Donald Trump has also been spending significant time in Florida since his Inauguration Day, frequently traveling to Miami or Palm Beach during his first four weekends in office.
