Mel Kiper Jr.’s final NFL mock draft of 2022 has QBs going back to back

We’re just hours away from the clock starting on the 2022 NFL Draft, so it’s time for one last round of mocks.

And the last one from ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has quarterbacks going late, just like we saw from his colleague Todd McShay (our Christian D’Andrea had Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett going Nos. 5 and 6 in his final mock).

Funny enough, Kiper also has Liberty’s Willis and Pitt’s Pickett going back to back in his final mock. He projects Pickett first off the board at No. 19 with the New Orleans Saints grabbing him. Then, at No. 20, it’s Willis to the Pittsburgh Steelers:

The Steelers could get a quarterback and not have to trade up for him. I have Willis ranked just slightly over Pickett, and I think he has the highest ceiling of the guys in this class. He’s super talented with a huge arm. We know Mike Tomlin & Co. heavily scouted the passers last month.

This should be a fun one Thursday night.
