Mel B takes swipe at Holly and Phil over claims they jumped Queen queue

Mel B made a subtle dig at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over claims they jumped the queue for the Queen's lying in state.

The former Spice Girl joined Good Morning Britain to discuss her personal letter from the Queen and the time she broke royal code. Several decades ago she kissed King Charles on the cheek but admitted she would be "far more behaved now" if she were to meet him again.

Nearing the end of her segment, Mel interrupted presenter Susanna Reid to ask her what it was like queuing to see the Queen lying in state. The queue stretched around central London and forced members of the public to wait over 24 hours in some instances.

Football legend David Beckham also waited several hours as did multiple other British television personalities. However, This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were scrutinised over claims they both jumped the line, with ITV defending the move as work-related.

Speaking to Susanna, Mel said: "Before I forget, you queued for seven hours. My gosh, I have so much respect for you. What was that like?"

The GMB host thanked Mel for her kind words as she said: "It felt like a sort of pilgrimage. It was an honour to be with all the other people in the queue." Mel interrupted Susanna as she added: "Noi queue jumping for you."

Co-host Ben Shephard held back a smile at the dig before Susanna swiftly moved the conversation on. She said she was queuing with her mother and added that she was happy to be a part of such a historic moment.
