Former Spice Girl Mel B was reportedly cut from Adele’s TV special over a strange “vibrator” joke.

The event, called An Audience with Adele, went live on Sunday and saw Adele host a night with many notable guests like Jodie Comer, Emma Thompson, Idris Elba, Daniel Kaluuya and Mel B.

While speaking to the “Easy On Me” singer, Mel B asked her what the best gift she ever received before jokingly responding for her, which caused her to be axed from the show.

According to The Sun, a source said that although Mel B was being her “brilliant self,” ITV “couldn’t keep her moment in.”

“She was tasked with asking a question about the best gift Adele had ever received but when the cameras were on her, she said she felt silly asking it.

“Then she made a joke and said she could answer the question for Adele and said it was a vibrator,” the source told the outlet.

They also added that there wasn’t much laughter, but Adele “made a wisecrack about it and moved on” and that the moment couldn’t air because it was “awkward as hell” and “was a family show.”

“There’s no bad blood or issue between them,” they continued.

Adele sang some of the songs from her new album throughout the special, and she even got a welcomed surprise from her favourite teacher, which brought her to tears on stage.

As a result, ITV had their best ratings night of the year so far on Sunday, as Adele’s performance drew 5.5 million people in addition to the return of I’m A Celeb.
