Mel B and Angela Griffin gush over each other's outfits as they reunite Pride of Manchester

Mel B and Angela Griffin gushed over each other's outfits after they were reunited on the red carpet.

Angela, who performed as Scary Spice in a Stars in their Eyes special in 1998 was made up to be reunited with her pal.

The Spice Girl wore her signature leopard print as she stepped out to pose for the cameras at Pride Of Manchester.

She wore the printed coat over her shoulders, but kept her arms free from the sleeves.

Under her jazzy jacket she wore a black jumpsuit with a cut-out detail across her chest.

Showing off her natural beauty, Mel added a touch of bronzer, soft copper eyeshadow and a nude lip.

Waterloo Road star Angela embraced spring florals for the event.

The vibrant blue silk gown had a slight plunging neckline and short bell sleeves.

She added a tiny red handbag and nude heels to complete the look.

Speaking of her time performing as Mel, Angela said: "I can't explain how petrified I was when the door opened and the stage filled with dry ice.

"I can hold a tune, but I'm not the world's greatest singer. Mel and I share the Leeds accent and we both used to sing alto at school, so that helped.

"But I'd love to go back in time to when we were at school and say, `Mel, listen to this. In a few years I'm going to go on TV and pretend to be you because you're going to be dead famous'. I'd love to know what she would have said."

"Mel doesn't know I've done this but I think she'll be amused by it. I'd be highly amused if the Spice Girls did a Coronation Street sketch."

The pair actually grew up in the same part of West Yorkshire and even went to the same school - Intake High School in Leeds.

Mel, 46, and Angela, 45, once took to the stage together to perform a duet in their school production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The singer was seen on yesterday's episode of The Games as she cheered her daughter Phoenix Gulzar-Brown who is competing in the show.

She beamed with pride and held a huge banner which read "Team Phoenix" in the crowd.

The race kicked off the new ITV series which saw her come second in the 100m race.

The 23-year-old battled against Chelcee Grimes,30, Rebecca Sarker, 46, Olivia Attwood, 30, Christine McGuinness, 34, and Lucrezia Millarini, 46.

Despite her efforts, Phoenix lost first place to Chelcee.

The singer wore a Ralph Lauren jumper with a 'P' for Phoenix as snapped photos of the event on her iPhone.

She was joined by her adorable Yorkshire Terrier, Cookie, who sat on her lap.

As the race started, commentator Chris Kamara said: "There's Mel B, she's excited for her daughter".

Taking to The Games's Instagram story, Chelcee said: "I feel bad for Phoenix because it was so close, If that was me i'd be fuming, I could feel her - but I'm happy, I wanted that, i've come for it so onto the next one."

While Phoenix chimed in: "I'm proud of her. She deserved it,' before the pair had a friendly handshake."
