Earlier, it was reported that Jets right tackle Mekhi Becton was wearing a knee brace at practice Friday. Head coach Robert Saleh have an update on that after practice.
Saleh said Becton is dealing with a “discomfort” in knee, per Connor Hughes of SNY. Becton is trying out the brace to see how he feels with it. Saleh said Becton is fine and not hurt.
It was figured the brace was just for precautionary reasons, so this note from Saleh at least confirms that and Jets fans can breathe a bit easier as a result. Becton seemed to have no issues with his knee or the brace during practice Friday.
