Mehrdad Ghodoussi wades in on Newcastle United's 'bizarre' disallowed against Crystal Palace

Newcastle United joint-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has waded in on the controversial goal that VAR disallowed against Crystal Palace. The Magpies chief called the decision a bizarre one, but buried the hatchet.

The black and white faithful have had to contend with two controversial VAR calls in just four day, possibly costing the Toon five points. The decision to disallow the goal against Crystal Palace saw the Magpies settle for a draw, but the call to disallow Alexander Isak's second goal at Liverpool in midweek, would have put Eddie Howe's side two goals to the good.

Of course, that's all hypothetical and Newcastle have taken just one point from their last two outings. Performances have been solid enough from Eddie Howe's side, but they haven't won since the opening day of the season.
