Mehrdad Ghodoussi epitomised what Newcastle United supporters were thinking after the full-time whistle against Tottenham Hotspur. The Magpies co-owner said it was an incredible performance from Eddie Howe's side as they moved into the top four.
Goals from Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron gave the Toon a first-half lead before Harry Kane reduced the deficit in the second-half. In years gone by Newcastle would have succumb to second-half pressure from Tottenham and have thrown away games.
However, under Howe there's a new found resilience and the best defence in the Premier League held out for all three points. The Magpies will face Aston Villa, Southampton and Chelsea before the winter break, with a Carabao Cup game against Palace also penned in.
