Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi insists that the 'journey has only just started' after the Magpies end the first full year under PIF in third.
They were rooted in the relegation zone under Steve Bruce when the takeover was completed in October last year. Bruce was eventually relieved of his duties and replaced by Eddie Howe the following month.
Newcastle collected 12 wins from their final 18 games to climb clear of the drop zone and into a respectable 11th place. They've consolidated their strong second half of last season during the current campaign to challenge for UEFA Champions League qualification.

And Ghodoussi has proudly reminded supporters of just how far the club has come in the last 12 months.
Ghodoussi wrote on Twitter: "We were 19th in the league this time last year, fighting for survival. The last 12 months have been an incredible journey for all of us.
"Through hard work, persistence and determination, we have finished the year 3rd in the league. Our journey has only just started."
Newcastle have lost just one of their first 17 league games, and have collected eight victories from their last 10.
They have also booked their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, and had won six straight games prior to their goalless draw against Leeds on Saturday.
