Meghan 'treated staff like s***' and had 'psycho moments', former royal aide claims

Meghan Markle has been accused of “treating staff like s**t” while she was a senior working royal.

An ex-courtier told the Sunday Times that the Duchess of Sussex “chewed people up” and and had “psycho moments” during their time working with her.

The 43-year-old relinquished royal duties after moving to the US with her husband Prince Harry in 2020.

The unnamed former Palace aide said: "I witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone and made to feel like shit.

"It was an incredibly fraught time and I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt.

“She has said herself she was suicidal at times."

Another added: "She is lovely when it is all going her way but a demon when the worm turns."

Ms Markle has not responded to the claims.

She recently joined her husband on a tour in Colombia and has completed other humanitarian work since retiring as a full-time royal and actress.

The ex-courtier’s claim comes after several other former staff members accused the Duchess of being difficult to work with.

Last week, a source close to the couple told the Hollywood Reporter: "Meghan belittles people, she doesn't take advice."

They described the Sussexes as "poor decision-makers" who "change their minds frequently".

Harry was called "a very, very charming person" but "very much an enabler".

The Duke recently celebrated his 40th birthday with a rare message from his brother William despite the Prince of Wales allegedly not wanting him at a future coronation.

According to People, a publication that is well-connected to the Sussexes, Prince Harry is "focused on enjoying life" with his family after "years of self-reflection”.

“The best gift I've ever been given is, without doubt, my kids,” he said.

“I enjoy watching them grow every single day and love being their dad.”
