Most of us like nothing more than indulging in some fast food every now and then - and it appears Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no different.
That's because Meghan has revealed what husband Harry's favourite indulgent meal is now they live in California - and also let slip that staff who work at the restaurant even know his order. The duchess told how she and Harry often have to commute to Los Angeles for work meetings with the city a "good two hours" outside of their home in Montecito. She said that they often drive while commuting with "chocolate chip cookies the size of my toddler's head" to keep hunger at bay.
And Meghan also revealed another place they like to stop off on their commutes - In-N-Out, a burger chain which she says is Harry's favourite.
In an interview with Variety, Meghan said: "It's funny. People sometimes think we live in Los Angeles, but we’re a good two hours outside of it. We’re commuters.
"We drove down recently for a day of back-to-back meetings, equipped with chocolate chip cookies the size of my toddler’s head.
"Also, my husband’s favorite is In-N-Out. There's one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods. It’s really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them. They know our order."
Previously, the Mirror reported how Harry had been spotted at the burger joint in 2020 - and left staff astonished when he and Meghan stopped there for lunch.
In the wide-ranging new interview, Meghan also opens up about several topics including her podcast Archetypes, the death of the Queen and if she would ever return to acting.
She also talks about her new Netflix docuseries with Prince Harry that she says will tell their story and gives advice to other actresses who may play her on screen in the future.
Talking about the Queen's death for the first time, she admitted it was a "complicated time" for the family, while also sharing Prince Harry's emotional remark about his grandmother's death.
Speaking for a cover story in the latest edition of the magazine, she also reflected on the time she spent with the monarch, who died on September 8, and revealed how the royal family are coping with the loss.
She says: "There’s been such an outpouring of love and support. I’m really grateful that I was able to be with my husband to support him, especially during that time.
"What’s so beautiful is to look at the legacy that his grandmother was able to leave on so many fronts. Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like.
"I feel deep gratitude to have been able to spend time with her and get to know her. It’s been a complicated time, but my husband, ever the optimist, said, ‘Now she’s reunited with her husband'.
“I’ve reflected on that first official engagement that I had with her, how special that felt. I feel fortunate. And I continue to be proud to have had a nice warmth with the matriarch of the family.”
