Meghan Markle to make 'high-end celeb-based products' amid Dior 'snub' and Spotify axe

Meghan Markle has been dealt two blows to business in recent weeks, with the Duchess' podcast being axed from Spotify and now reports swirling that she won't be working with Dior after all.

But could the former actress and blogger turn to a different way of making a name for herself away from the Royal family?

The Duchess of Sussex had all of the makings to be the new Duchess of Dior, with speculation heating up that she would join the fashion house in a collaborative way after her Spotify axe.

It was thought that Meghan could link up with Dior in some capacity, but a spokesperson for the fashion house has now denied that there had been any recent contact with Meghan.

Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, the insiders claimed reports of Dior collaborating with the Duchess were not on the table, and no contract negotiations had been touted.

But now Meghan, 41, could potentially take a different approach to furthering her career and personal brand, with the former Suits actress set to "make a few high end celebrity-based products" in the future, according to an expert.

Royal expert Tessa Dunlop exclusively told Mirror US: "Even the Royal Family might take heart. After all last month the Sussexes promised that they had nothing left to say about their time in The Firm."

Tessa, who is a historian and writer, added: "If things go according to plan, former actress and Hollywood stalwart Meghan will soon be making a few high end celebrity-based products on a new platform minus any royal input.

"Which begs the question, what about Harry?"

This comes after Meghan and Harry's £18million Spotify deal was announced to have come to an end.

The massive deal was one of the first the couple signed after quitting the Royal Family in 2020.

Releasing a one-off episode together before Meghan launched her own series, Archetypes, the Duchess ran her podcast for 12-episodes and saw Meghan chat to different celebrity pals.

She chatted to the likes of Paris Hilton and Mariah Carey before it was decided that Spotify would not renew the podcast.
