The Duchess of Sussex has taken her husband to the community kitchen that inspired her to create a Grenfell charity cookbook.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited the Hubb Community Kitchen on Thursday, not far from the site of the deadly tower block blaze in west London.

According to reports, singer Adele joined the royal couple.

Meghan has written the foreword to Together, a collection of global dishes by women from the Grenfell community and others, which aims to raise funds to expand their culinary work at the Al Manaar, a Muslim cultural heritage centre.

The idea for the book came from the duchess in January, during the first of a number of private visits to the kitchen.

First opened in September last year, the Hubb, which means love in Arabic, welcomes cooks seven days a week.

In the aftermath of the devastating blaze, women came to prepare food for friends and families or socialise at the kitchens.

The women cooked recipes from the book for Harry, Meghan and her mother Doria Ragland, in the grounds of Kensington Palace when the publication was launched in September.

The book took the number one spot on Amazon within hours of being unveiled and has since sold nearly 40,000 copies in the UK alone, raising £210,000.
