Meghan Markle may be in for a shock following new claims from a former friend of the Sussexes, just as Buckingham Palace announces King Charles III’s latest decision. A close associate of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has spoken out in his first televised interview, standing firm on his 2018 bullying allegations against Meghan Markle.

Jason Knauf, a former royal aide to Prince Harry and Meghan, reiterated his claims in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, stating he “wouldn’t change anything” and has “no regrets.” The former Sussex press secretary was critical of his previous employers, saying, “I think it’s tough, but it’s probably quite good.

You know someone who has been helping other people through how to deal with the public eye.” Knauf further remarked, “You probably had to take your own medicine sometimes.” “You can’t choose just to take the fun stuff in any job, and that applies to the prince and princess too. So, I wouldn’t change anything.”

Despite his stance, Knauf admitted to having fond memories of working with the Sussexes, calling their 2018 Windsor wedding a “magical experience.” Meanwhile, Meghan Markle has consistently denied the bullying accusations, calling them a “calculated smear campaign.”

In 2018, Knauf sent an internal email raising concerns about the Duchess’s alleged behavior towards palace staff, stating, “I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable.”

“The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence,” he added. The controversy over these claims resurfaces at a time of heightened scrutiny over the Sussexes’ standing within the royal family, as King Charles III reportedly makes key decisions regarding his reign.
