Meghan Markle shared a rare clip of her daughter Lilibet just days before the launch of her eagerly anticipated Netflix show.

The three-year-old princess was seen playing with her "auntie" Serena Williams, a close friend of the Duchess of Sussex, in a now-deleted Instagram post.

The video, taken from a distance with Lilibet’s face turned away from the camera, was set to the soundtrack of Bill Withers' Lovely Day.

The clip was captioned: "When the aunties come to celebrate... and to play! Love you @serenawilliams."

Meghan also gave a nod to her upcoming cookery programme, With Love, Meghan, adding: "Three days until the party begins. All are invited @netflix."

The duchess famously deleted her Instagram account before marrying Prince Harry but later set up a new profile after stepping back from royal duties. She now has 2.1 million followers, with her first post made on January 1.

Meghan first met Serena Williams in 2010 at a Super Bowl party, and the pair “hit it off immediately,” remaining close friends ever since.

On her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, Meghan recalled their first meeting: "Taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing, and chatting not about tennis or acting but about good old-fashioned girly stuff."

Serena has also spoken fondly of her friend, telling reporters ahead of Meghan’s visit to Wimbledon in 2017: "We have always supported each other, just been there for each other through a lot."

Last week, it was reported Meghan was given the green light to launch her new household goods brand, which will tie in with her upcoming Netflix leisure show.

However, the Duchess of Sussex will not be able to use her 'As Ever' brand to sell clothing as originally planned, due to a naming conflict with a Chinese fast-fashion retailer.

Her line of 'As Ever' household products will launch just as Netflix begins streaming her new lifestyle show 'With Love, Meghan' on March 4, with the products available in Netflix stores in Dallas and Philadelphia.

The duchess has previously sought to use the name - American Riviera Orchard - but USPTO refused the application as a geographical area cannot be trademarked.
