Meghan Markle says 'sorry' to Prince Harry after awkward William confession resurfaces

Royal couple Harry and Meghan have today dropped the first volume of the highly-anticipated docuseries on Netflix with viewers being promised an "unprecedented and in-depth" look into the lives of the couple and why they left.

The first three episodes of the Netflix series are available to watch now with the rest being aired a week today on Thursday, December 15.

Already there are strong reactions surrounding the series with some finding it an interesting look inside the couples lives with others calling it, not so interesting.

During the first episode, they touched on how Meghan Markle didn't even know who Prince Harry was when they first met. They even showed a clip of Meghan in an interview a year prior and she was asked to pick between Prince Harry and Prince William.

Her response was "I don't know" as she laughed followed by "Prince Harry" - this was less than a year before she would soon meet her husband to be, reports The Mirror.

Harry leans forward giggling saying "sure" to which Meghan lovingly replied: "Honey I'm sorry. Of course I choose you."

When they ask the Netflix film maker what year the interview was, it's revealed to be October 2015. Harry reflected on the time and said: "This just shows how little you knew. And look how far we've come."

Filming on his phone, recording a video diary back in March 2020, Harry says: "We’ve just finished our two weeks, our like final push, our last stint of royal engagements."

He added: "It’s really hard to look back on it now and go ‘what on earth happened’? Like, how did we end up here?"

As Harry speaks, images of the couple flash on screen, followed by headlines and broadcasters’ audio from coverage about their decision to step back from royal life.

During the first episode, Harry talks openly about the loss of his mother as well as why he had to leave to protect his family citing the intrusive nature of the paparazzi stating he did not want "history to repeat itself" particularly thinking about his mother, Diana, the Princess of Wales.
