Meghan Markle said Kate Middleton being called 'Waity Katie' didn't compare to racism in a new clip of the Oprah interview.
The Duchess of Sussex said she imagines comments about Kate 'waiting to marry William' must have been hard for her - however she said what they've had to deal with is 'not the same'.
In a clip released by CBS, the Duchess of Sussex talked about what she experienced as being 'different' to what other members of the royal family may have gone through.
When asked by Oprah "different because of race?" Meghan said "and social media".
She spoke about the 'noise level' being different because of social media and because she is not British.
Meghan said: "Unfortunately if members of his family say well this is what's happened to all of us, if they can compare what the experience what I went through was similar to what has been shared with us -
"Kate was called 'waity Katie' - waiting to marry William - while I imagine that was really hard, and I do, I can't picture what that felt like, this is not the same, and if a member of his family will say 'we've all had to deal with things that are rude' - rude and racist are not the same.

"And equally you've had a press team that goes on the record to defend you if especially if you know something is not true, and that didn't happen for us."
Meghan has claimed the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry in the lead up to her royal wedding.
There had been reports that Meghan upset Kate in a row about the flower girl dresses, however the Duchess of Sussex has now claimed it was the other way around.

During her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan said Kate gave her flowers to apologise for the incident and she has forgiven her, saying that Kate is a "good person".
But Meghan has referred to the incident was a "turning point".
Speaking to Oprah, she said: "Everyone in the institution knew it wasn't true. I am not sharing that piece about Kate to be in any way disparaging about her. I would hope that she would want that to be corrected."

Meghan also claimed that Harry had to have conversations before Archie was born about how dark his skin might be.
She said there were "several conversations" but said revealing who was involved in the talks "would be very damaging to them".
Harry later said he would never reveal details of the conversation.
Buckingham Palace are yet to comment on these claims and many others made by Harry and Meghan in the Oprah interview.
