Meghan Markle 's dad has made an emotional plea on American TV to his daughter and begged to mend their relationship.
Meghan's dad, Thomas and her siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr. took to Channel 7 News to share "treasured memories, home truths and secret tapes" of the Duchess of Sussex ahead of King Charles' Coronation.
In the trailer ahead of the interview airing, Samantha brutally states that, without their father, Meghan "would still be a waitress" and her brother soon chimed in, adding: "We're not going to go away."
"This is going to change everything," he added, teasing the bombshell due.
Meanwhile, Thomas took a different tone to his children and made a "deathbed plea" to "the daughter he lost."
"How can I fix this?" he says breathlessly. Thomas suffered from a stroke last year and confessed that he was "lucky to be alive."
At the time, a source told The Mirror that Meghan was concerned for her father, despite being estranged from her family.
"Despite their estrangement, Meghan is concerned," the source revealed. "She wants to know if there is any way to contact her father privately, without other family knowing about it or having to get involved."
Thomas' plea comes after it was revealed that Meghan would not be joining Harry for King Charles' Coronation later this month. Instead she is set to stay at their family home in California with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet.
Meghan made her first public appearance since confirming she wouldn't be in attendance to the prestigious event during a Ted Talk for her close friend.
She appeared via video in a pre-recorded message to introduce Misan Harriman ahead of his recent Ted Talk and reflected on the "many meaningful milestones" he captured for her family.
"Our next speaker has an unmatched eye for a good photograph. I’ve experienced his talent firsthand as he’s captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family, and I know there are many others who share in this experience," she said in the video.
Viewers were taken aback as she debuted her new glowy look which the Telegraph have dubbed her "Montecito makeover".
Award-winning makeup artist and owner of Trigwell Cosmetics, Zoe Trigwell, said that Meghan "upped her glam" while stepping away from her Royal duties.
"Meghan has definitely upped her glam feeling as she has stepped outside of Royal Duties," she explained to us.
"It feels overall that she has started to really move into her own look with dewy skin and a more natural/copper eye base. Alongside this, she has paired her new look with a down-do hairstyle over her usual low bun."
