Prince Harry and Meghan jetted out of California last week to spend a few days in New York so that Harry could deliver his keynote speech on Nelson Mandela International Day at the United Nations.
The address saw Harry describe "the rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States" as part of "a global assault on democracy and freedom". He also touched on subjects such as climate change, misinformation and his mother's influence.
After the speech, Meghan and Harry went out in New York for a romantic date night to popular Italian restaurant, Locanda Verde.
For their second appearance of the day, the couple dressed far more casually than they had done earlier in the day.
While Harry looked relaxed in a blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves, Meghan's £4k jumpsuit sparked an instant connection to an outfit recently worn by The Duchess of Cambridge.
Back in May, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the glittering premiere for Top Gun: Maverick and were pictured chatting away to stars like Tom Cruise.
For her appearance, Kate stunned in a gorgeous £2,700 black and white off-the-shoulder gown by Roland Mouret. She finished off her look with starry earrings by designer Robinson Pelham.
The monochrome look worn by the duchess in London is remarkably similar to what Meghan wore for her dinner with Prince Harry and their friends in New York.
Meghan's jumpsuit was from designer Gabriela Hearst and retails for almost £4000. She completed the look with black stilettoes and a red clutch bag and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail.

Details of their dinner at Locanda Verde emerged in a report by Page Six. A source told the publication that Meghan "asked the people at Locanda Verde to have the entire inner outdoor courtyard – which seats 50 – for herself and four people, including Prince Harry."
The report continued: “The owners told her it had been reserved for a birthday party for 15 people and refused to bounce the party out of the space … they told her she’d need to sit inside, which she did.”
Elsewhere, Page Six notes that Meghan and Harry ordered the Sardinian sheep’s milk ricotta, steak tartare, Piemontese, the ravioli and a few other dishes as sipped on red wine during the evening.
Another source revealed to the publication: “There was a random birthday celebration at the table next to theirs. Meghan went up to them with Harry and said: ‘I wish you the happiest birthday,’ to the table next to her. They were all dumbfounded and just said, ‘Thank you so much.'”
Earlier in the day, Prince Harry spoke at the UN to mark Nelson Mandela International Day. He told the audience: "This has been a painful year in a painful decade. We are living through a pandemic that continues to ravage communities in every corner of the globe.
"Climate change wreaking havoc on our planet with most vulnerable suffering most of all. The few weaponizing lies and disinformation at the expense of the many.
"From the horrific war in Ukraine to the rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States, we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom—the cause of Mandela's life."
