The episode description, titled 'The Misconception of Ambition with Serena Williams' reads: "Meghan talks to the one and only Serena Williams about the double standard women face when they are labelled "ambitious" and the ripple effect this has on other aspects of their lives. This ground-breaking premiere episode also features Dr. Laura Kray, a leading expert on gender in the workplace."
In the episode, which has been given much praise online, Meghan revealed of a terrifying event that happened when Archie was just four months old when her and Prince Harry took a trip to South Africa in 2019 whilst on a royal engagement.
She recounted: “The moment we landed, we had to drop him off at this housing unit that they had had us staying in. He was going to get ready to go down for his nap. We immediately went to an official engagement in a township called Nyanga, and there was this moment where I’m standing on a tree stump and I’m giving this speech to women and girls. We finish the engagement, we get in the car and they say, ‘There’s been a fire at the residence, there’s been a fire in the baby’s room’.”
She then revealed that their nanny, Lauren, was in tears however despite grabbing a snack before putting Archie down, the heater in the nursery caught on fire with Meghan adding that it could have been much worse saying: "Someone happened to just smell smoke down the hallway, went in, fire extinguished,” Markle added. “He was supposed to be sleeping in there.”
