The conundrum of going from office to out-out usually sees us doing a quick change in the loos. Meghan Markle, though, just put another option on the table: simply wear your white work shirt.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were guests of honour at the Endeavour Fund Awards on Thursday evening, an annual ceremony honouring military veterans.
The red carpet event saw the couple don their best black-tie attire, with Meghan once again testing the boundaries of her royal wardrobe, dressing her baby bump in Givenchy business wear.
The bespoke monochromatic look consisted of a high waisted pencil skirt with a high-leg slit and simple white shirt, which was accessorised with a new pair of £530 Aquazzura mules, Givenchy clutch bag and a ruby cocktail ring.
Over the years Meghan has demonstrated her love of a crisp, white shirt.
In 2014, the then Suits actress wore a similar pencil skirt and shirt combo on the red carpet at the NBC Universal Winter Press Tour.
Most recently, she paired an oversized white shirt with jeans and a blazer for the couple's royal tour of Australia and, not forgetting Meghan's debut at the Endeavour Fund Awards with Prince Harry in 2018, when she went for an equally androgynous look, pairing a shirt with a tailored Alexander McQueen suit.
