Meghan Markle makes heartfelt Valentine’s tribute to Prince Harry as he attends Invictus Games away from home

The Duchess of Sussex has made a heartfelt tribute to Prince Harry as the couple spend Valentine’s Day apart due to his commitments at the Invictus Games.

In a rare personal Instagram post, Meghan pledged to eat "burgers & fries and fish & chips" with her husband "forever" as she declared herself "beyond proud" of his achievements.

The message, signed simply "M", praised Harry's dedication to "changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families."

While Harry continues his work at the Games, Meghan revealed she was at home "taking care of our babies" - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The heartfelt post offers a glimpse into the couple's relationship, with Meghan's mention of British staple fish and chips nodding to their cross-cultural romance.

Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014, creating an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. The competition has become one of his most successful initiatives.

The 2025 Invictus Games are currently underway in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, from February 8 to 16, 2025.

This marks the first time the event features winter adaptive sports, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing and wheelchair curling, alongside traditional sports.

It comes after the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a touching picture of them together to mark Valentine’s Day.

William and Kate were pictured in a still image taken from the video released last September when the princess announced she had ended her cancer treatment.

It was posted on Friday morning on their official X social media account, which is followed by 2.9 million people.

The couple are see dressed in shorts, trainers and polo-style shirts sat on a rug in a wooded area - with the princess smiling as the prince kisses her on the cheek.
