Meghan Markle is reportedly determined not to "buckle" under the pressure of being a celebrity.
The Duchess of Sussex is believed to be holding her ground despite constantly being under public scrutiny and "won't give up" on her mission as it's "her and Harry against the world".
Meghan plays an important role in charity work which mainly focuses on women's issues and social justice and also runs the charitable Archewell Foundation alongside her husband Prince Harry, the Mirror reports.
In addition to this, the Sussexes run their media company, Archewell Productions for Netflx including their Harry and Meghan documentary series where they made shocking claims about how they were treated within the Royal Family.
They also create podcasts for Spotify - including Meghan's award winning show Archetype in which the Duchess would candidly speak with celebrities including close pal Serena Williams and singer Mariah Carey.
However, even close pals of the royal couple have apparently said Harry and Meghan are taking on too much.
A source told Heat magazine: "A lot of their US friends are advising them to stop trying to take on the world," a source tells Heat magazine. But Meghan's saying they won't give up."
"For Meghan it's crucial they don't buckle, no matter how tough it gets. It really is her and Harry against the world at this point."
The Sussexes shocked the world in January 2020 when they announced they were stepping down from their royal duties barely two years after their fairytale royal wedding.
Meghan and Harry left the UK for California to start their new lives and sign big money deals with the likes of Spotify and Netflix.
Although their announcement came as a surprise at the time, Harry confessed in his bombshell memoir Spare that he had been longing to leave the royal family for some time before he finally took the plunge.
It seems he may have publicly hinted that he was not happy with his royal role three years before he and Meghan left the country.
In a 2017 interview, the Duke of Sussex admitted he had once "wanted out" of the Firm and desired to live an "ordinary life".
During a discussion which was later reported by the Mail On Sunday, Harry, then 32, confessed his struggles but revealed he decided to stick out his role because of one relative.
He reportedly said: "I spent many years kicking my heels and I didn't want to grow up. I felt I wanted out but then decided to stay in and work out a role for myself ".
Harry revealed that it was his grandmother, the late Queen who convinced him to stay due to his loyalty to her.
In the same interview, just a year after meeting his wife Meghan, Harry discussed his future hopes for them both to have children someday.
He insisted: "I am determined to have a relatively normal life and if I am lucky enough to have children they can have one too."
