Meghan Markle could impact the 'Sussex brand' with the 'wrong response' to her and Prince Harry being mocked in the latest episode of South Park.
In an episode of the US cartoon, titled 'The Worldwide Privacy Tour', the couple were branded "dumb and stupid".
The skit was clearly a dig at Harry and Meghan, as the description for last week's programme references a "prince and his wife" try to "find privacy and seclusion in a small mountain town", writes The Mirror.
US celebrity publicity expert Matt Yanofsky told The Mirror that South Park creators were playing on the fact that "Meghan Markle is divisive".
He goes on to claim that if Meghan hits out at the animated TV show, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, it could damage the 'Sussex brand'.
The Moment Lab founder told The Mirror: "Meghan Markle is divisive, and South Park is playing on that image, so it won't impact her.
"South Park taking aim is a natural progression. Her brand hasn't been damaged; if anything, things like this continue to show her relevancy."
During the episode, one character also says that they are "sick of hearing about them" - and Matt says Meghan 'shouldn't' snap at that.
He explained: "If she responds in the wrong way, it could impact her differently.".
During Harry and Meghan's episode, character Kyle is seen saying: "It seriously is driving me crazy. I'm sick of hearing about them but I can't get away from them!"
While discussing the 'prince and his wife', he adds: "They're everywhere. In my f****ing face."
Stan, replies: "Look, Kyle, we just kind of don't care about some dumb prince and his stupid wife."
One royal expert has also said that the couple "could call in the lawyers".
Neil Sean said: "According to sources close to the ex-royals, it appears that, like so many things with Meghan and Harry, this may have legal ramifications attached.
"Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister."
