Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has announced two new unscripted series in collaboration with Netflix through her and Prince Harry's Archewell Productions. These projects are part of the couple's overall deal with the streaming platform and are currently in the early stages of production.
The first series, curated by Meghan Markle herself, will focus on celebrating the pleasures of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship. Leah Hariton, known for her work on 'Selena + Chef,' is set to be the showrunner, while Michael Steed, who has worked on shows like 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction' and 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,' will serve as the director. The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television's Intellectual Property Corporation, with Meghan, Hariton, Chanel Pysnik from Archewell, and Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman from IPC as executive producers.
The second series will offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the world of professional polo, primarily filmed at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. This show aims to showcase the intensity and dedication required to compete at the highest level in the sport, shedding light on the players and the challenges they face. Miloš Balac, known for 'Welcome to Wrexham,' will be the showrunner, with Meghan, Prince Harry, Psynik, Ian Samplin, and Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma, and Dane Lillegard from Boardwalk Pictures as executive producers.
Archewell Productions has previously worked on three series for Netflix, including the docuseries 'Harry & Meghan,' 'Heart of Invictus,' and 'Live to Lead.' The specific titles and release dates for the new unscripted series have not been disclosed yet, but fans can anticipate engaging and insightful content from the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry's production company.
