Meghan Markle became a "scapegoat" for the Palace to block stories about other royals a friend of hers has claimed in another bombshell trailer for her and Prince Harry's Netflix docuseries.
The friend makes the claim in the teaser, which comes just hours before the final three episodes of the series land on the streaming platform and just days after one of the most dramatic trailers yet for the documentary.
The new minute-long trailer, released today, starts with Meghan's lawyer Jenny Afia speaking as pictures are shown of Buckingham Palace.
The lawyer says: "There was a real kind of war against Meghan, and I've certainly seen evidence that there was negative briefing from the Palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people's agendas."
Meghan's friend Lucy Fraser follows on as pictures of the palace continue to be shown by saying: "Meg became this scapegoat for the Palace.
"And so they would feed stories on her, whether they were true or not, to avoid less favourable stories being printed."
Meghan is then shown telling the camera: "You would see it play out. A story about someone in the family would pop up for a minute, and then they'd go 'we got to make that go away'.
"But there is real estate on a website homepage, there is real estate there on a newspaper front cover, and something has to be filled in there about someone royal."
An image is show of photographers snapping pictures of Meghan during her baby shower in New York before Ms Afia adds: "This barrage of negative articles about the breakdown of her relationship with her father was the final straw in a campaign of nasty negative coverage her."
It is the first trailer that doesn't feature Prince Harry or any images of him.
Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace declined to comment.
The promo follows another teaser released on Monday which saw Harry say that people were “happy to lie” to protect his brother Prince William, while Meghan claims she was "fed to the wolves".
That one starts with Harry, who is heard saying: “I wonder what would’ve happened to us had we not got out when we did.”
Meghan adds: “Our security was being pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were.”
The duke also can be heard saying: “I said, ‘We need to get out of here’.”
Images of a man with his face blurred, a plane flying, Harry filming a video on his phone and newspapers being made also appear on screen.
Meghan and Harry also address their relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales and the rift that has opened since their move to the US.
The duchess tells the camera: “I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves.”
While an image of Buckingham Palace is shown, Harry adds: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother (William). They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”
It is unclear who the duke is referring to as “they”.
Clips of Harry and Meghan’s wedding are also played alongside news footage and newspaper headlines about the pair.
Meghan says: “It gave us a chance to create that home we always wanted.”
Harry adds: “I’ve always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for,” as photographs and video footage of him and his family are shown.
In the first three episodes released last Thursday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex railed against their treatment by the Firm.
Harry signified an ”unconscious bias” of racism at the heart of the institution while Meghan labelled William and Kate emotionless after she hugged them at their first meeting.
Harry also claimed the royals asked why Meghan should be "protected" from media speculation, alleging he was told it was something all royal women - including Princess Diana and Kate - have to go through.
While Meghan said she was left unprepared for royal life as she didn't know what a walkabout was and wore muted colours to blend in.
