Megan Thee Stallion and BTS star RM have teamed up to release their new song, 'Neva Play,' which debuted on Friday, September 6. The music video for the song features a futuristic and raunchy vibe, with Megan rapping and dancing in an arcade setting while playing pinball. The video incorporates animations, with RM appearing only in illustrated form and animated animals like sharks swimming around Megan.

In the chorus of 'Neva Play,' Megan and RM count up to eight and sing, 'Let them know we on the way. Countin’ zeroes every day. You know that we never play, ayy.' The lyrics touch on themes of making money and achieving success, with Megan rapping, 'Money talk and it’s my first language. Me and RM gang and we gangin’. Boss level and you ain’t even in the rankin.'

Megan first announced the collaboration with RM on September 1 via Instagram, expressing her excitement for the project. This isn't the first time Megan has worked with BTS, as she was featured on a remix of their single 'Butter' in 2021 and performed with the group at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

'Neva Play' arrives following the release of Megan's third album, 'Megan,' which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album included the Billboard No. 1 hit 'Hiss,' which garnered both critical acclaim and attention for its perceived reference to Nicki Minaj.

As for BTS, the group is currently on a break from performing together to fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea. During this time, individual members are pursuing solo projects. Jimin released a solo album titled 'Muse' in July, while Jin participated as a torchbearer at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Additionally, Jimin and Jung Kook collaborated on a travel reality series called 'Are You Sure?' released on Disney+ in August.
