Megan Fox recently revealed that her poetry about her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly in her book has had an impact on their relationship. The actress shared insights during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she discussed how some of the poems in her book, 'Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,' are clearly inspired by her relationship with MGK.
One of the poems, titled '32-Year-Old Narcissist Attempts To Quantify His Crimes,' was specifically mentioned by Fox as being about MGK, who she confirmed is aware of the references. She also highlighted another poem, 'Ghosts of Christmas Future,' as being about him, noting that she drew inspiration from his own music and public persona.
Despite drawing from MGK's own expressions in his music, Fox acknowledged that it was still a sensitive experience for him to have her write about their relationship. She emphasized that while he may feel in control when telling his own story through music, her written words presented a different dynamic.
Fox's book, which contains over 70 poems, was described by the actress as relatable to women, although she clarified that not all pieces should be taken literally. She shared that writing about MGK in this format felt distinct from his own musical expressions.
Discussing MGK's initial reaction to her book, Fox mentioned that he was nervous and concerned, particularly due to the explicit content and the direct references to him. Despite the challenges, the couple got engaged in January 2022 and have been spotted together on a recent vacation in Mexico.
Reflecting on her book and relationships in general, Fox admitted that her writing does not always present an objective view of her roles in relationships. She acknowledged her own flaws and past mistakes, emphasizing that she was not always a victim and had contributed to issues in relationships through her behavior.
