'Mega Man' x 'Brawlhalla' Crossover Sparks Hopes for New Game in Capcom's Franchise

A Mega Man x Brawlhalla crossover sparked hopes among fans that Capcom's beloved franchise will get a new game sometime soon.

There is currently not much information on what it would actually include but it is set to kick off on Sept. 25, 2024. Brawlhalla is a fighting game available on various platforms completely for free.

Mega Man x Brawlhalla Crossover

Fans think that more details about the event will be released in the coming week. The vast majority of crossover characters already in Brawlhalla are skins for existing fighters.

Many fans are expecting that this would be the case for Mega Man as well and they might see Capcom's blue hero become a fighter in a brawler. Players expect to pay Mammoth Coins to buy the new skin, according to ComicBook.

Brawlhalla fans are excited to see the crossover with Capcom's popular franchise. They are also eager to play as Mega Man in their matches. On the other hand, Mega Man fans are a little bit less enthusiastic. This is because they would rather get a new game in the series.

This is primarily due to Capcom not really doing anything new or major for the Mega Man franchise over the last few years. The last game in the series came out in 2018, Mega Man 11, and it has only been crossovers mostly since.

Ubisoft's Brawlhalla is similar to MultiVersus and Super Smash Bros. The game was originally released in October 2017 and has a roster of more than 60 characters, said GameRant.

Past collaborations for Brawlhalla include skins inspired by Steven Universe, Halo, WWE, and even Star Wars. The latest crossover for Ubisoft's game was with Gearbox Software's Borderlands and its Vault Hunters Event.

Hope for a New Game in the Franchise

The update added tons of new crossover content to the fighting game and came at a time when it was introducing brand-new features. The teaser for the upcoming collaboration starts with Brawlhalla's Kor descending onto the stage and forming himself.

Appearing before him comes Mega Man alongside his trusty sidekicks Rush the dog and Beat the bird. With the trailer, fans are expecting that the blue hero will have his Mega Buster as his primary weapon.

Some speculations have also surfaced talking about whose skin the collaboration event will add to Brawlhalla. Fans think that it could go to either Isaiah or Seven as the latter has the most similarities to Mega Man, particularly her cannon weapon.

Excitement for the Mega Man franchise has been on the rise recently. Particularly after the release of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. The pack is now available worldwide for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, according to NoisePixel.
