It’s a great thing former New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is a good sport because the social media team for the fast food chain Wendy’s gave him the burn of a lifetime.
A full-on roast was in session on Thursday with Wendy’s taking aim at the three-time Super Bowl champion.
And it was absolutely brilliant (sorry, Jules).
Wendy’s is the roasting queen on social media, and Edelman found himself a victim on Wendy’s National Roast Day.
“Which generic slot receiver who would be irrelevant without Tom Brady is this again? Let me guess, you have a podcast, too? Fun-sized Pat McAfee,” said Wendy’s.

“Fun-sized Pat McAfee” is without question a burn for the ages.
But then again, McAfee is one of the hottest talking heads in the game right now. Once you sift past the initial sting, there might be a half compliment hidden in there somewhere.
