Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land in France on July 13 and will be guest of honour at the nation’s Bastille Day celebrations on July 14. It will be PM Modi’s fifth trip to France.
3/10 - Dinner at the Louvre
PM Modi will dine with President Emmanuel Macron at the Louvre museum on Friday. Over 200 guests will attend the dinner at the world\'s biggest museum, and will to be treated to a special viewing of a number of iconic works.
4/10 - 25 years of strategic partnership
This year India and France are celebrating the completion of 25 years of strategic partnership. Deals are likely to be inked in several areas, including defence and energy.
5/10 - Indian contingent on Bastille Day
This year’s Bastille Day military parade will feature a sizable Indian contingent.
6/10 - IAF flypast
Four Rafale fighter jets and two C-17 Globemasters of the IAF will also be part of the flypast.
7/10 - Mega defence deals
The trip will also see the announcement of some mega defence deals, including proposals to procure 26 Rafale marine jets and three Scorpene submarines.
8/10 - Rafale Marine aircraft
As per the proposals, the Indian Navy will get 22 single-seated Rafale Marine aircraft along with four trainer aircraft.
9/10 - Rafales for aircraft carriers
The aircraft carriers INS Vikramaditya and Vikrant have been operating the MiG-29s and need the Rafales naval jets – or Rafale M - for operations on both carriers.
10/10 - Scorpene class submarines
The three Scorpene class submarines would be acquired under the repeat clause by the Navy as part of Project 75 where they would be built in the Mazagon Dockyards Limited in Mumbai.
