A mega-cheap SIM deal has just launched and it's completely free for one month. Those looking to upgrade their mobile for a cheaper option won't want to miss out on this bargain offer that's available for a limited-time only.
Many consumers are ditching their contracts for more affordable SIM deals amid the cost of living crisis, which means there are some competitive prices out there between network providers.
Shoppers who sign up with Lyca Mobile can get a one-month SIM deal for completely free. The 20GB data SIM includes unlimited calls and texts as well as 5GB of EU roaming.

This latest 'hard-to-beat' offer means customers can get data for free in what would normally cost around £15 to £20 a month. The price drop is down to the latest deal from the discount site LatestDeals who have partnered with Lyca Mobile to offer an affordable (and free) way for shoppers to top up their phones.
Shoppers on the lookout for affordable connectivity for their mobiles will know just how expensive using a smartphone can be, as all the apps and features rely on a lot of data and 5G to work.
The above SIM deal is the cheapest 2023 tech deal, operating on a 30 day trial basis, to drop so far but consumers need to be aware that after a month the price will rise to £5 but as there's no tie-in, this can be cancelled at any time.
After the first free month customers are free to leave the deal, or they can choose to keep the SIM-only plan for an additional £5 per month on a rolling month-month basis. Compared to other 20GB deals customers would still be paying, on average, £15 less for the data, and don't face additional exit fees.
The deal is also available for those on the lookout for a smaller 6GB of data usage, which will cost £1 a month after the initial first free month.
Not only do SIM-only contracts save bill payers but Lyca Mobile offer flexible plans, which mean users aren't tied in to paying off a contract if they find a cheaper deal elsewhere. The deal renews every 30 days from shoppers original payment method, but it can me cancelled by dialling *190# from users phones.
SIM-only contracts are one of the cheapest ways to keep devices connected as users only pay for the data and minutes used as opposed to the cost of a handset and combined interest.
