Meet the real-life brothers starring in Coronation Street

Real-life Manchester brothers are both making waves on the Coronation Street cobbles.

Greg Wood recently rejoined the ITV1 soap as nasty loan shark Rick Neelan and his brother Matt Milburn plays Weatherfield County footballer Tommy Orpington who regularly makes guest visits to his adoring fans on the street.

The Manchester-born brothers also starred in the Channel Four soap Hollyoaks.

Matt played student Joe Spencer from 2003 to 2006 when his cheeky character was killed in a fire at the Dog In The Pond and Greg played bad-boy gangster Trevor Royle who was stabbed to death on his wedding day by evil teen Nico Blake in 2016.

He also played drug dealer Terry Gibson in Brookside.

In 2011, Matt joined the cast of Emmerdale as vet Nicky Pritchard hired by Paddy Kirk.

His Corrie character Tommy made hid debut when he hired Michelle Connor as his wedding planner but things got out of hand when Michelle's then-husband Steve McDonald fawned over him at the pub.

And when a starstruck Tyrone Dobbs spotted who they were enjoying a pint with, he ditched his partner Fiz and joined the lads to swoon over Tommy’s tales of footballing glory.

His appearance caused mass hysteria on the street and tensions arose when Steve was left fighting for his attention with his neighbour and fellow Weatherfield County fan Tim Metcalfe.

Tommy returned to the street as part of Jack Webster's recovery from sepsis infection that caused him to lose his foot. And earlier this year he was a VIP at the opening of David Platt and Nick Tilsley's new barber shop.

Greg recently returned to Corrie as Gary Windass' sinister new boss.

Gary started working as a loan shark following financial worries that have recently caused a rift in his relationship with Sarah Platt.

Greg's character Rick first appeared in Corrie in 2009 and bought Joe McIntyre's debts of £5,000.

He tormented Joe and threatened to harm his daughter Tina, played by Michelle Keegan, if he didn't pay up.

Hollyoaks star Aedan Duckworth reveals how he prepared for football sexual abuse storyline

Joe, who was deep in debt, later attempted to fake his own death on honeymoon with his wife Gail to claim life insurance but drowned after toppling off his boat in the Lake District - and now it seems Gary has been drawn into Rick's sinister web.
