Ireland's newest UFC star Ian Garry burst onto the scene this weekend with a stunning knockout victory in Madison Square Garden.
The 23-year-old has gone down the same route as Conor McGregor by winning the Cage Warriors title before making the switch to mma's premier promotion.
And all went to plan on Saturday night for the Dubliner as he made it a first-round KO to kick-off his career in style.
He even had the support of his idol, McGregor tweeted: "You little daisy Ian! The step back, back paw an all ahahahaja just absolutely incredible! Congrats Ian Garry."
The win, and his impressive skills on the mic, mean Garry's Instagram following as well as attention on his personal life has already ramped up a notch.
And the woman by his side, like Dee Devlin was for the Notorious in his early days, is Layla-Ann Lee.
Who is Ian Garry's girlfriend?
Layla-Ann is a 38-year-old TV presenter and content creator from London - having roots in Brazil through her parents.
She has had presenting roles with the UFC and many football channels getting to work alongside Neymar, Jesse Lingard and more big names.
Their relationship
The pair have been dating for the last while and have made no secret of their relationship on social media with both posting many pictures together.
Ahead of the big fight, Layla-Ann said on Instagram: "His energy is my everything!
"Tonight @iangarry makes his @ufc debut. His ability to be positive and spread joy no matter what faces him amazes me over a million times a day.
"Ian you were born different. Born special and you’re perfectly following your beautiful destiny. You have found your perfect path and your contagious joy and inspiration is radiating further than you can imagine.
"You changed my life - Thank You
"Have fun tonight this is your home."
Ian Garry's first UFC fight
Garry admitted the magnitude of fighting at Madison Square Garden affected him and also paid homage to his countryman Conor McGregor after the win.
And talking at the post-fight press conference, Garry revealed he expects to fight soaring welterweight Chimaev in the next few years.
"Tonight, was it the cleanest performance? No, but did I do what I said I was going to do? Yes. So, that's all that matters," he said.
"I'm going to keep doing that and people are always gonna say 'oh I can beat this guy', so do it. Let's see it. Give me the guy that's going to do it.
"The only two people that I can think are gonna do it right now are Khamzat and Kamaru [Usman], because they're the two guys who are the s*** at the moment.
"Kamaru's the champ, Khamzat is going to be the champ, then it's going to be and Khamzat fighting for that belt in a couple of years. Potentially for both belts, as he fights at middleweight too."
