Petal, the nine-year-old Akita, arrived in Glasgow from Ireland a few weeks ago.
The gentle giant has spent her whole life outdoors, now she is on the look out for a family that can pamper her.
Petal would need someone who has previous experience with the breed. The loveable pup needs to have direct access to a secure garden.

The pooch is looking for a home without cats or children under the age of 16, as she is a big, strong dog, but Petal loves to make friends with similar sized dogs.
Despite being an older lady she loves to run and play with other hounds.
The nine-year-old is calm and curious but is quite fussy when it comes to treats. Petal adores hot dogs and cheese but other options will politely be declined.
Little is known about the furry friend's background so it is unclear if she is housetrained, how she will be when left alone and how she travels in a car.
Petal would need some safe spaces in the house and potential adopters would need to be open to use of baby gates.
