Christmas is a time for family and what could make for better gift for parents than a newborn baby? Among those families welcoming a new bundle of joy today across Nottinghamshire, are one family whose new arrival was born in the early hours of the morning at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Harrison Parker Niblett was born at 6.03am on Christmas Day, weighing 8lb 11oz. He is the first baby for Shirebrook couple Chloe, 29, a fitness manager, and mechanical engineer Blake Niblett, 30.
Baby Harrison was born 13 days late, with Chloe's labour beginning during the early hours of Christmas Eve. She says Harrison being born on Christmas Day has been "really special."

Chloe said: “Harrison was 13 days late and, when my labour started at 4am on Christmas Eve, we didn’t think we wanted a Christmas Day baby, but actually it’s been really special and he arrived just in time for present opening. His first present was a handknitted rainbow from his auntie.
“All my care has been really positive. Staying in on Christmas has been much better than I thought it would be and I’ve received loads of thoughtful gifts from the ward too – thank you!”
Another family had something extra special to celebrate on Christmas Day, as mother Hayley Small welcomed Baby O'Rayla into the world. Baby O'Rayla was born at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham at 12.09 on December 25, weighing 5lb 11oz.
A spokesperson for Sherwood Forest Hospitals said: “Congratulations to all our families who have welcomed new arrivals over the festive period and thank you to all of our colleagues who are working hard to keep our vital services running over the bank holidays.”
