The Kansas City Chiefs may have a new household name on their hands.
Fullback Carson Steele signed as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA with Kansas City in April, and now he’s in line to make the team’s 53-man roster and take meaningful snaps at running back this season.
He’s been a breakout star for the team during this month’s preseason games, and he’s got a real chance to be a breakout star in the NFL.
During Thursday night’s preseason finale for the Chiefs, Steele stiff-armed a Chicago Bears defender on this stellar run to right outside the Chicago goal line.
You just don’t often see fullbacks make plays like this in the NFL, much less undrafted fullbacks. This guy is special.
While Isiah Pacheco will be the lead back for Kansas City this fall, don’t sleep on Steele. He might just be a legitimate factor in helping Kansas City win a third-straight Super Bowl this winter.
