Storm Franklin led to wild playing conditions in the Allianz League this weekend.
A series of matches were called off across the divisions: the Division 2 meeting of Galway and Offaly, the Division 3 clash between Westmeath and Longford and the Sligo-Cavan Division 4 game.
The Salthill meeting of Galway and Offaly was initially declared to be going ahead but Galway GAA then announced that the match was off due to an upgraded weather alert.
A similar situation happened at Wexford Park, with the Division 4 clash between Wexford and Tipperary cancelled just minutes before throw-in after a deluge of rain.
But those involved in the matches that went ahead faced some horrendous playing conditions. Such was the wind at Páirc Tailteann in Navan that a sideline free from a Meath player ended up nearly coming back to his feet.
The conditions didn't always help the spectacle on show, with Meath and Down only scoring three points between in the second half of their Division 2 clash, all three of which were from Meath frees.
It was the first point of the League campaign for both Meath and Down, with both counties facing a relegation fight.
