McVitie's launches new biscuit butler service with Uber Eats

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, McVitie’s have served up a treat for snack lovers by launching a Biscuit Butler service on Uber Eats.

Those who book the Biscuit Butler will receive delivery of a platter of McVitie’s Blissfuls, paired with a hot chocolate accompanied with a mug and completed with an scented candle.

A witty promo video released today reveals the Biscuit Butler in action – serving biscuits on a silver platter, toasting mini marshmallows for your hot chocolate with a blow torch, warming customers' slippers with a hairdryer and removing crumbs with a mini dust buster.

Available in London, Birmingham and Manchester from 9th-11th February, the Biscuit Butler will transform a crummy evening by bringing the VIP treatment for you and your loved ones to share.

McVitie's new Blissfuls are a baked golden biscuit housing a Belgian milk chocolate cream filling (in either hazelnut or caramel flavour).

Inspiring the butler roll-out, a survey of 2,000 Brits revealed that 50% would love to get their favourite movie snacks delivered direct to their sofa. For many, that’s a luxurious biscuit. More than half (51%) of Brits voted the best treat for a movie night in as ‘something chocolatey’. The average Brit was found to watch five movies per week at home, with 78% preferring to watch the latest blockbuster in the comfort of their own home.

The research also reveals the most joyful films of the last 25 years to watch at home:

  1. Mamma Mia! (2008) - 39%

  2. Love Actually (2003) - 38%

  3. The Greatest Showman (2017) - 32%

  4. Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) - 29%

  5. Billy Elliot (2000) - 28%

  6. Paddington 2 (2017) - 28%

  7. Shrek (2001) - 26%

  8. Up! (2009) - 23%

  9. School of Rock (2003) - 23%
