If you’ve spent the last 24 hours snacking on chocolate eggs and roast dinners, then you may be looking for a quick, easy, and cheap meal to get you through this Bank Holiday Monday. And for one day only, McDonald’s have slashed the price of select menu items to celebrate the long weekend.
Those up bright and early before 11am will be able to bag a Cheesy Bacon Flatbread for £1.19, which is around 30p cheaper than it usually costs.
The menu item, which originally launched in 2018, features crispy bacon topped with melted cheddar cheese and toasted in a fresh flatbread, and will be 20 per cent cheaper today - when visitors order on the app.

For customers enjoying a lie-in or opting for an easy lunch or dinner, the deals don’t stop at breakfast, as the classic Quarter Pounder with Cheese will be available for £1.49 – saving a whopping £2.80.
The quarter-pound beef burger usually costs £4.29, and is crowned with two slices of cheese, nestled between two sesame seed buns, and dressed with ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles.
Those looking to snap up the discounts will need to have downloaded the My McDonald's app before you can claim them. The deals will be available in the "Offers" section of the app, which can be downloaded from the Apple store or from Google Play, depending on your device.
Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of these deals by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards. The scheme means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so this week’s offers will get you 119 points when grabbing a Cheesy Bacon Flatbread and 149 points when picking up a Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items including small fries, a hash brown, or a side salad. With 2,500 points, a double cheeseburger or vegetable deluxe is on the cards. Finally, with 4,000 points, customers can choose between menu favourites like 6 Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac - or they can choose to donate the cash equivalent of their points to charity.
Alongside the one-day offers, McDonald’s has also launched a one-month long promotion called Winning Sips, giving customers the chance to win millions of prizes including £10,000 cash, menu favourites and limited-edition merch including bucket hats, towels and Coca-Cola glasses when purchasing a medium or large soft drink.
Winning Sips started on March 29, and works in a similar way to the popular Monopoly game, in that customers will peel the stickers off to see if they've won an instant prize, or a code that you can put into the app.
Unlike the Monopoly game, you don't need to collect stickers, and there are no Winning Sips stickers on food items.
To make the game fair for everyone, you'll be limited to entering just eight codes into the McDonald's app, so there's no point wasting money on dozens of drinks.
You have to be over 18 to enter the Winning Sips game, and customers will have until May 9, 2023 to claim their free prizes.
