McDonald’s has confirmed its hugely popular Monopoly event will return this month.
Fast food fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of McDonald’s Monopoly 2020, anticipating the chance to win some incredible prizes, including shopping vouchers, free meals and four £100, 000 cash prizes.
The fast food chain has now confirmed via Twitter that the prize-based game will return on Wednesday, March 25.
While no further details have been revealed just yet, we’ve taken a look at what you can expect when McDonald’s Monopoly returns for 2020.
What prizes will be up for grabs?
According to the Mirror , these are some of last year’s incentives:
- £100,000 cash (four - collect both dark blue properties)
- Mini Cooper (20 – collect all three green properties)
- £2,000 holiday spending money (50 – collect all three yellow properties)
- PS4 games console (650 – collect all three red properties)
- Any mobile phone with a one-year contract (400 – collect all four train stations)
- A £50 voucher for boohoo.com (18,000 – collect all three light blue properties)
- Medium McDonald's meal (2,000,000 – collect both brown properties)
How to play McDonald’s Monopoly
The game is a variation of the classic Monopoly board game, where the aim is to collect the pieces or properties to claim the prize.
Each piece represents a tile on the board and when you collect a set, you get a freebie.
Some pieces are harder to get than others, as fewer will be made - these usually make up the bigger prizes like cars and holidays.
