McDonald's makes big menu change with new products and returning favourites

McDonald's has issued a major menu update, with the launch of new limited edition items and returning favourites.

McDonald's UK and Ireland is set to launch its new - and much longed for - Garlic Mayo dip, as well as the Mega Hot Sauce dip to accompany the iconic McNuggets, in celebration of the classic fast food item's 40th birthday.

The new dips are available from Friday, May 10, but only for a limited time period. From May 31, two further dips will be added to the menu - Chipotle Mayo and Creamy Ranch - which will be available until stocks last.

McDonald's fans will also be able to take advantage of the return of the Big Tasty - this time around, made with a spicy kick. The Spicy Big Tasty is assembled with a 100% beef patty, Emmental cheese, lettuce, bacon, tomato and the fast food giant's ever popular Big Tasty sauce with a jalapeno twist.

Those not too keen on spice needn't worry, as the regular Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon will also return. In addition to this, halloumi fries are making a return. Four cheese sticks coated in a light batter, and served with a rich tomato dip.

McDonald's fans with a sweet tooth can indulge in the beloved Wispa McFlurry. The creamy dessert is made with soft dairy ice cream, and swirled with Wispa chocolate pieces and a chocolate sauce.

There's also the classic Wispa Gold McFlurry, made with Wispa chocolate pieces and a Cadbury caramel sauce.
