McDonald's fans are in for a substantial treat today (October 19), with a brand-new highly-anticipated burger launching - dubbed an absolute 'game changer'.
The fast food franchise will sell their coveted McCrispy at stores across the UK and Ireland from today onwards, with aims of 'being the most delicious chicken burger yet'.
And what's even better news is that the new release is here to stay for good, unlike seasonal additions that come and go every couple of months with the retailer's special menus.

Made with 100 per cent chicken breast fillet, marinated in black pepper and cayenne the burger is topped with classic Maccies mayonnaise to give it a 'fancy' and 'unami' taste, reports The Mirror. And if that wasn't enough, the burger is encased in a 4-inch artisan glazed bun, that has a 'sweet nutty toasted flavour'.
The brand-new burger is available from today for just £6.49 as part of an Extra-Value meal, and if it's anything like the McPlant, it's bound to sell out in some areas, so you better grab one quickly.
TV presenter Maya Jama has been announced as the face of the new burger, and will feature in an advert for it along with several other famous faces, including comedian Leigh Francis, rapper Michael Dapaah and girl-boss gamer Elz the Witch. Speaking about the new chicken burger, Maya said: "I love a chicken burger, and am a self-confessed chicken connoisseur, so when I found out Maccie’s was launching this new burger, I knew I had to get involved."
To make way for the McCrispy, the Chicken Legend has been axed from the menu, leaving some McDonald's fans fuming. Many took to social media to express their disappointment, saying removing the burger is not a "good idea" - but will the McCrispy satisfy them?
The burger itself is priced at £4.99 with an extra-value meal setting punters back £6.45.
Extra additions have also been made to the McDonald's menu, in the form of the highly-touted nacho cheese bites making a return for £2.29 per portion or £5.99 per sharebox. Hungry grubbers can also make the most of McDonald's new and exciting mini potato waffles, which will set them back just £1.39, while sweet-toothed fans can trial and test the re-appearing Twirl McFlurry - available in mini and regular fashion.
