McDonald’s is launching Big Mac special sauce dipping pots next month

The Big Mac has always been McDonald’s best burger (this isn’t a debate), largely due to the special sauce it’s lathered in.

Fans of the burger have long tried – and mostly failed – to recreate the sauce at home, and now McDonalds is giving customers the opportunity to buy the sauce in its stores.

From February 12, for a limited time only, McDonald’s customers in the UK and Ireland will be able to buy Big Mac special sauce dipping pots for the first time.

A small batch of the pots will go out in stores nationwide and is expected to sell out fast.

The 50ml pots will retail for 50p each and will be available 24 hours a day until they are gone. Once bought, the pots will have a seven day shelf life so you can jazz up your weekly cooking with the tangy condiment.

The last time UK and Ireland customers had the chance to buy the sauce was in 2016, when a bottle of Big Mac special sauce sold for £65,900 on ebay. So it’s a little cheaper this time around.

Earlier this month, McDonald’s launched its first fully vegan meal with the arrival of its veggie dippers at the beginning of January. The full meal is served with fries (which are already vegan) and a soft drink.
