McDonald's is bringing new Big Mac to UK menus for first time ever

McDonald’s is to launch a chicken Big Mac to UK menus at 1,300 restaurants across the country from February 2.

A spokesman said: "It’s one of McDonald’s most requested menu items and it’s finally here – featuring two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and the deliciously world-famous inimitable Big Mac sauce between the iconic three-layered bun."

The chicken Big Mac will 50p more expensive than a classic Big Mac, which costs £3.59, but prices do vary between branches and will be £5.59 for a medium meal with chips and a drink - or you can go large for £5.99.

The chicken Big Mac is already available on the menu in Australia - but this is the first time it’s been sold in the UK.

It will be available until the middle of March.

The double Big Mac is returning to McDonald's menus on the same day next month, reports The Mirror.

Mozzarella dippers and Galaxy chocolate and salted caramel McFlurries will also make a comeback.

Last month, McDonald’s also rolled out the McPlant, which is made with a meat-free patty and vegan cheese, to all its restaurants.

McDonald's confirmed yesterday that it is axing two popular menu items - the breakfast bagel and wrap.
